The Nationals are in the World Series

Hooray! Its finally happening Washington DC’s Baseball team, The National’s, will be in the 2019 World Series! Why is this a big deal? A Washington DC baseball team has not been in the World Series since 1933 or, 86 years ago.

National’s & Senator’s History

The Senators, the last Washington DC team to go to the World Series was relocated in 1961 and the franchise is now known as the Minnesota Twins. Making Washington DC without a Baseball team from 1961 to 2005. The Nationals we know today were originally the Montreal Expos and moved to Washington DC in 2005.
