Smithsonian Museums
We are excited that Smithsonian Museums are NOW OPEN! Please note that you must reserve FREE timed tickets in advance for many popular locations. The tickets can be reserved online and please see the full list opening dates for the museums.
Smithsonian Museum Grounds & Gardens
Haupt Garden at the Smithsonian Castle is open daily dawn to dusk, Hirshhorn Sculpture Garden open daily 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; all other gardens open 24 hours. Visit website for details and map
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Indoor performances have returned to The Kennedy Center! The outdoor grounds at the REACH are also open including a pop-up wine garden and cafe at Victura Park. Enjoy beautiful river views and outdoor sculptures. Visit website for more information. Located next door to The Watergate Hotel.
Georgetown Shops & Restaurants
Just a 5-minute walk along the Potomac River. The popular town center of M Street and Georgetown Harbor are great locations to shop and get lunch or dinner. Georgetown DC has an updated list of what's open and useful area maps. Visit website for details.
International Spy Museum
Great for adults and kids! Located in an expansive, multi-level space near The Wharf. Open daily. Purchase advance tickets online at the museum website.
The Phillips Collection
Visitors must have an advanced-purchased timed ticket to this fine art collection. Please make sure to review the museum's safety guidelines as you plan your visit. The museum's hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information and tickets, visit the museum's website.
The National Museum of Women in the Arts
Located in Downtown DC, this is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to recognizing the achievements of women artists. Open daily until 5 p.m. Visit website for the latest information.
Dumbarton House
Located in nearby Georgetown, this historic building is open Thursdays-Sundays at limited capacity for self-guided tours. Guests must reserve timed tickets in advance and follow the museum’s updated safety procedures. Visit website.
Ford's Theatre & Museum
The museum is open from Wednesday through Sunday and timed tickets are available online. The theater has performances scheduled beginning in October. For latest information and tickets, visit the Ford's Theatre website.
ARTECHOUSE
Unique space with large scale art installations. Admission is limited and a timed ticket is required. See website for current exhibits and times.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
Timed passes are required for entry and the museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Wednesday. Visit the museum's website for more information.

George Washington's Mount Vernon
Located in Virginia, approx. 35 minutes by car from The Watergate Hotel. Great for adults and kids with lots of outdoor space! Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., non-members should buy tickets online, in advance. Visit website.
